O come, let us sing to the lord to him our voices raise; With joyful noise let us the rock of our salvation praise. Let us before his presence come with praise and thankful voice; let us sing psalms to him with grace and make a joyful noise. For God’s a great God and great King; above all gods he is. the depths of earth are in his hand; the heights of hills are his. To him the spacious sea belongs, for he the same did make; the dry land also from his hands its form at first did take. O come, and let us worship him; let us bow down withal, and on our knees before the lord, our maker, let us fall.

arise, my soul, arise, shake off your guilty fears; the bleeding sacrifice, on my behalf appears; before the throne my surety stands, before the throne my surety stands, my name is written on his hands. Refrain: arise (arise), arise (arise), arise, arise, my soul, arise. arise (arise), arise (arise), arise, arise, my soul, arise. shake off your guilty fears and rise! he ever lives above, for me to intercede; his all-redeeming love, his precious blood, to plead; his blood atoned for every race, his blood atoned for every race, and sprinkles now the throne of grace. Five bleeding wounds he bears, received on calvary; they pour effectual prayers; they strongly plead for me: “Forgive him, o forgive,” they cry, “forgive him, o forgive,” they cry, “nor let that ransomed sinner die!” my God is reconciled; his pard’ning voice i hear; he owns me for his child; i can no longer fear. With confidence i now draw nigh, with confidence i now draw nigh, and “Father, abba, Father,” cry.

o worship the King all glorious above, o gratefully sing his power and his love; our shield and defender, the ancient of days, Pavilioned in splendor and girded with praise. o tell of his might, o sing of his grace, Whose robe is the light, whose canopy space? his chariots of wrath the deep thunderclouds form, and dark is his path on the wings of the storm. the earth with its store of wonders untold, almighty, your power has founded of old; has ‘stablished it fast by a changeless decree, and round it has cast, like a mantle, the sea. your bountiful care what tongue can recite? it breathes in the air; it shines in the light; it streams from the hills; it descends to the plain; and sweetly distills in the dew and the rain. Frail children of dust, and feeble as frail, in you do we trust, nor find you to fail; your mercies how tender, how firm to the end, our maker, defender, redeemer, and Friend! o measureless might! ineffable love! While angels delight to hymn you above, the humbler creation, though feeble their lays, With true adoration shall lisp to your praise.

all hail the power of Jesus’ name! let angels prostrate fall; bring forth the royal diadem, and crown him lord of all. Chorus and crown him, oh crown him and crown him, oh crown him and crown him, oh crown him crown him lord of all ye chosen seed of israel’s race, ye ransomed from the fall, hail him who saves you by his grace, and crown him lord of all. let every kindred, every tribe on this terrestrial ball, to him all majesty ascribe, and crown him lord of all. o that with yonder sacred throng We at his feet may fall! We’ll join the everlasting song, and crown him lord of all.
5.
blessed assurance, Jesus is mine! o what a foretaste of glory divine! heir of salvation, purchase of God, born of his spirit, washed in his blood. Refrain: this is my story, this is my song, praising my savior all the day long. this is my story, this is my song, praising my savior all the day long. Perfect submission, perfect delight, visions of rapture now burst on my sight; angels descending bring from above echoes of mercy, whispers of love. Perfect submission, all is at rest; i in my savior am happy and blest, Watching and waiting, looking above, filled with his goodness, lost in his love.

Rock of Ages 04:03
rock of ages, cleft for me, let me hide myself in thee; let the water and the blood, from thy riven side which flowed, be of sin the double cure; cleanse me from its guilt and pow’r. be of sin the double cure; cleanse me from its guilt and pow’r. not the labors of my hands can fulfill thy law’s demands; could my zeal no respite know, could my tears forever flow, all for sin could not atone; thou must save, and thou alone. all for sin could not atone; thou must save, and thou alone. nothing in my hand i bring, simply to thy cross i cling; naked, come to thee for dress; helpless, look to thee for grace; Foul, i to the Fountain fly; wash me, savior, or i die. Foul, i to the Fountain fly; wash me, savior, or i die. While i draw this fleeting breath, when mine eyelids close in death, When i soar to worlds unknown, see thee on thy judgment throne, rock of ages, cleft for me, let me hide myself in thee. rock of ages, cleft for me, let me hide myself in thee. rock of ages, cleft for me, let me hide myself in thee. rock of ages, cleft for me, let me hide myself in thee.

how firm a foundation, you saints of the lord, is laid for your faith in his excellent Word! What more can he say than to you he has said, to you who for refuge to Jesus have fled? “Fear not, i am with you, o be not dismayed; for i am your God, and will still give you aid; i’ll strengthen you, help you, and cause you to stand, upheld by my righteous, omnipotent hand. “When through the deep waters i call you to go, the rivers of sorrow shall not overflow; For i will be with you, your troubles to bless, and sanctify to you your deepest distress. “When through fiery trials your pathway shall lie, my grace, all-sufficient, shall be your supply; the flame shall not hurt you; i only design your dross to consume and your gold to refine. “e’en down to old age all my people shall prove my sovereign, eternal, unchangeable love; and when silver hairs shall their temples adorn, like lambs they shall still in my bosom be borne. “the soul that on Jesus has leaned for repose, i will not, i will not desert to his foes; that soul, though all hell should endeavor to shake, i’ll never, no never, no never forsake.”

Jesus! what a Friend for sinners! Jesus! lover of my soul; Friends may fail me, foes assail me, he, my savior, makes me whole. Jesus! what a strength in weakness! let me hide myself in him; tempted, tried, and sometimes failing, he, my strength, my vict’ry wins. Refrain: hallelujah! what a savior! hallelujah, what a Friend! saving, helping, keeping, loving, he is with me to the end. oh Jesus! what a Friend! Jesus! what a help in sorrow! While the billows o’er me roll, even when my heart is breaking, he, my comfort, helps my soul. Jesus! what a guide and keeper! While the tempest still is high, storms about me, night o’ertakes me, he, my pilot, hears my cry. Jesus! i do now receive him, more than all in him i find, he hath granted me forgiveness, i am his, and he is mine.

What can wash away my sin? nothing but the blood of Jesus; What can make me whole again? nothing but the blood of Jesus. Refrain: o precious is the flow that makes me white as snow; no other fount i know, nothing but the blood of Jesus. For my cleansing, this i see – nothing but the blood of Jesus; For my pardon this my plea – nothing but the blood of Jesus. nothing can for sin atone – nothing but the blood of Jesus; naught of good that i have done – nothing but the blood of Jesus. this is all my hope and peace – nothing but the blood of Jesus; this is all my righteousness – nothing but the blood of Jesus. now by this i’ll overcome – nothing but the blood of Jesus, now by this i’ll reach my home – nothing but the blood of Jesus.

ten thousand times ten thousand in sparkling raiment bright, the armies of the ransomed saints throng up the steeps of light: ‘tis finished, all is finished, their fight with death and sin: fling open wide the golden gates, and let the victors in. What rush of alleluias fill all the earth and sky! What ringing of a thousand harps bespeaks the triumph nigh! o day, for which creation and all its tribes were made; o joy, for all its former woes a thousand-fold repaid! o then what raptured greetings on canaan’s happy shore; What knitting severed friendships up where partings are no more! then eyes with joy shall sparkle, that brimmed with tears of late; orphans no longer fatherless, nor widows desolate. Bring near thy great salvation, thou lamb for sinners slain; fill up the roll of thine elect, then take thy pow’r, and reign: appear, desire of nations, thine exiles long for home; show in the heav’n thy promised sign; thou prince and savior, come.
